I've been teaching in the UK for about 8 years, and my salary is now about £32,000. I'm curious how much US teachers at a similar level are paid.

  2. Realize that what "Freedom Forever" listed are averages.  It varies from state to state, and district to district.  Also, a district will take your degrees, and number of years teaching into consideration.  So, if you have a masters you will make more than a person without one.  Also a person entering a position with eight years experience, will make more than the brand new teacher.

    Oh, here in the states;

    K-6 = primary school (elementary)

    7-8 = middle school

    9-12 = high school

    This varies by about a year district to district.  Some districts will make 6th middle, etc.
