That will depend on your definition of fancy and what part of the country you're in.  There are many fine courses that can be played for 30-40 dollars. At some clubs the price may be 1-200 dollars.  If you're looking for bargain, shop around and be smart.  There are deals to be found.  Weekdays and afternoons are the cheapest times to play.

there are nice, or kinda fancy course in MO for 40ish$ and there are courses that charge 10's of thousands to gone the club for the year. pebble beach is nearly 500$ a round i think

you can define what you mean by fancy. normal municipal courses are around $10-20, some private club courses charge $50, but if you want the top of the line vacation spot courses, then u gotta have a fat wallet. the one i went to in hawaii costed $200 for just the course, cart extra. pebble beach as you probably heard of charges even more.

Lol..It depends. I dropped A grand last week at Pebble. I play and My beautiful wife "spas".  I played an adjacent course the day before and the fees were fifty-five.

"Fancy" meaning a resort or well known course, likely at least $125. At least if I understand your question correctly.
