To rent a trumpet, it would be somewhere around 25-30$ a month depending on what trumpet you're renting. It all depends.

It's probably a better investment to have a payment plan on one if you plan on playing the trumpet for long term. You can get a payment plan on a trumpet for pretty much the same price as renting one depending on the one you get.

I had a $90 a month payment plan for 2 years on a Bach Stradivarius, it's the best one. Might I suggest it.

I think you are looking at a price range between $40 - $60 a month.

However, I think you would make a better investment by buying a used one from an individual, or even shopping around to local pawn shops.  You should also check out craigslist.com in your area.
