What's the average pay/salary?

Hi. I'm currently enrolled at Devry University. I'm majoring in Electronics and Computer Technology (ECT). I was informed by my council adviser of the possible career opportunity and it's average income. But six months into my studying, I realized that ECT is not of my best interest. Now I'm looking to switch major. I'm thinking about getting into Network System Administration, which is something I'm definitely interested in. Is anyone in, or knows of anyone who's in this particular field or something similar? And what their average income looks like (hourly, monthly, or annually)? Please try to base pay and position based on Sacramento, California. I would discuss it with my counsel but she's usually busy. Any answer(s) or link(s) are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Well first off let me tell you that if you are more interested in networking then go for it. While having more money is good if your heart is not really in it then the long hours you will sometimes have to work will not be fun. If you work in the field that is your area of interest your job will be that much more enjoyable.
