What's the average price for a motel room in Paris, France?

My husband and I are spending our honey moon in Paris and I'm trying to set up a budget. Any help on cost would be great. What's American money worth there and so on. Thanks!

The average price is 150-200 Euros a night which is about US$270. You can certainly spend much more if you want to. There are a few hotels cheaper but the reason is usually poor location or lack of services (no elevator, etc.) You should look at more than just hotels. An apartment may serve you better. The best budget hotels are Formule 1 and ETAP.  They are both owned by the ACCOR chain.

Formule 1 is a very clean room for 1,2,3 people for 37 - 48 euro per night, breakfast for 3.9 euro.  Bathroom & showers down the hall on every floor, never a waiting line!  There are 7 around the suburbs of Paris.  Mine was in St. Ouen, 44 euro.

Next door was the ETAP, with private bathroom, 50 euro.

Multiply euros times 1.55 to get dollars.  50 x 1.55 = $77.50

Subway travel goes EVERYwhere, for 1.11 per trip if you buy 10 tickets.

Airport to city by taxi costs 50-60 euro.  (MORE in the evening!) The Train leaves every few minutes for 8.20 euro. Then you arrive at the Gare du Nord (North train station) and take the subway anywhere from there, or a short taxi ride.

Check this website in English, book only on line, cancel on line.  DONT CHOOSE Saint DENIS, it's a bad neighbourhood.
