Foreign nationals should earn the same as Irish people. There are, of course, unscupulous employers, who will attempt to exploit foreigners, as they will be less aware of their employment rights and may not have a great grasp of English. like the others said, it depends on the job, there is a minimum wage law in force, at 8.30 an hour.

However, I have know people who have been undercut by foreign nationals, because they are willing to work for less money. Not only on building sites, but in shops, laundry's etc.

I suppose they see it as 'at least I have a job', but then I have heard the same foreigners complaining about the cost of housing etc. That is why the wages were high in the first place.

So basically, you can get a job at whatever price you are willing to work for. So it's up to you

Exactly the same as Irish people. Minimum wage is €8 so expect to earn at least that if you're working in a shop or something similar.

You can earn up to about €17000 tax free if you're a single person. Anything over that and under €34000 is taxed at 20% and anything over €34000 is taxed at 41%.

That really depends on what kind of jobs you are aiming at. There are discrepancies ... without a doubt, especially when it comes to manual or construction work. A lot of eastern Europeans would work for less, and for longer hours... of course that should not be the case.

Depends on the job. Could be the minimum wage which is €8.50 an hour or it could be as high as €12 or €13.
