What's the best AT&T phone?

I would like to have one that plays music.

Being a smartphone is a bonus

Well, the iphone v1 is probably the best.

It has a metal case and the iphone 3g (v2) has a plastic case which cracks and shatters.

The screen is also glass, unlike most phones, where the screen plastic and doesn't shatter as much.

Either get the v1 or wait until the next generation, so they make it metal again and give it a plastic\lucite screen coated with TDK scratchproof\durabis and a working gps and bluetooth.

The iphone does not have a lot of functionality at all.

The only thing it has is a nice interface....other than that...i would get a nokia n95

Just make sure you have 3G coverage in your area first.
