Don't just name it, support your answer, please, and provide the address. I'm a Gates & Sons fan, but I'll be up for the 4th of July weekend and I'm willing to experiment.

  1. My experience with Gates lately has been quite poor.  I used to love it but lately the quality has slipped lower and lower.  Jack Stack is very good.  Pricey, but good.  Some of my favorites are K&M in Spring Hill, very good meats and great prices, Oklahoma Joes has a couple places and they are a legendary competition style place and the beans are ou tstanding, and Smokehouse in Kansas City North is a traditional place with good sauce and good flavor.

  2. I like famous daves the is one at the Legends, and Jack Stack is good too http://www.jackstackbbq.com/.  Personally I live in KS and I am not wowed by the BBQ resturaunts here. But try Jack stack it will be good.

  3. Arthur Bryant's is one of my favorites for the French Fries and sandwiches stacked so high with meat that it is almost impossible to finish it. I guess that is why the to go boxes are by the soda machine so you don't have to ask for one. Oklahoma Joe's is another good place but they skimp on the portions, you have to order 3 sandwiches to equal one of Arthur Bryant's.

  4. winslows b q is located in the city market there phone number is 471 ribs
