What's the best Beach in/near Orlando?

Which beach should we go to around Orlando, FL? We have kids, so best for sand castle.

No Beaches in Orlando!  You can go to Tampa Bay for Gulf coast or to Daytona to find some on the ocean side.  But you will not find any beaches in Orlando unless you count the sand at some of the water parks!

Cocoa Beach is closer on Atlantic.

Clearwater & St. Pete's is on gulf.

Atlantic waters are well known for rip tides.

Drive to the gulf won't have to worry about the kids being pulled out to sea.

Cocoa Beach is the closest but is still about 45minutes away. There are no beaches in Orlando because Orlando is located in CENTRAL florida :)
