I'm looking to get one of those portable hand held GPS devises. I hear Magellen is good, would like to know what other ones are good, or what the best ones are. Where can you buy them? Do you have to pay a monthly fee? Thanks! :)

  1. The 3 top brands are Garmin Magellan and TomTom you can buy them at Best buy or Circuit City and I even saw a vending machine in Macy's that had GPS systems. My neighbor has a Magellan and it is really user friendly.

  2. I have a Garmin Nuvi that I bought at Sam's.  It is amazing and has got me 'found' more times than I can count.  There is no monthly fee and it cost around $300.00.  You can program in an address, intersection or type in the name of what you are looking for.  If you make a wrong turn, it 'recalculates' and directs you a different way-it can also let you know of traffic accidents/congestion and routes you around them.
