I'm interested to know your thoughts on what makes the best kitesurfing Kite in waves. I'm thinking massive depower and the ability of the kite to 'sit' in the sky with minimal pull when required. Names, Makes, Models.....???? Thanks

  1. 1.The Frenzy by Ozone is an amazing kite, but it is pretty expensive

2.The PKD Buster is probably the best bang for the buck, very durable and great for begginners and experts.

3.My Kite, the Ozone Little Devil is my personal favorite, id go for that one

  2. The top wave kiter in Brazil uses North Vegas, which has a steady pull for advanced tricks, riding unhooked, while providing a good depower for wave riding.

If you are not a pro, and rides hooked in, I strongly recommend the Cabrinha Crossbow. It has HUGE depower and it sits steady in the sky even if you are riding a wave directly towards your kite. Also if you drop it, the relaunch is really quick (reducing the risk of having your kite damaged by the waves.

The Crossbow also kiteloops w/out much power, which is nice to use when you're riding waves side shore and wants to hit the wave and change direction fast.

I own the Crossbow and love it.

Ah, buy A SMALL KITE for waves. I would buy a 9m Crossbow for winds ranging from 14 - 25 knots.
