  1. Good luck with trying to find the best! I'm still looking for one as well, but here's my secret - mint extract!  Much easier than muddling mint if you make as many as I do.

  2. Here is the best Cuban mojito recipe...where can you go wrong...http://www.tasteofcuba.com/mojito.html

    salu!!

  3. Mojito Recipe:

Muddle 5 to 6 mint leaves, half a lime cut into a few slices and a Tablespoon of sugar (powdered & simple syrup dissolve best, raw tastes better) It's helps muddling with a few pieces of ice, because it takes some of the strain off of you and helps to extract more of the mint & lime flavor. Also, avoid muddling in a glass to prevent breakage. (I've seen wicked cuts happen) Use a mortar & pestal or muddle in a shaker. Add 1½oz. of premium white rum and a scoop of ice. Shake and top with club soda or sparkling water (I know some folks prefer theirs with Pellegrino.) Garnish with a lime wheel and mint sprig or a piece of sugar cane (it's great suck on after you've finished your drink.)

You can substitute an artificial sweetener or add different fruits or herbs for a bit of variety. I like adding fresh ginger, sorrel or berries to the mix.
