What's the best PMP for $300 or less?

I have a PSP right now with 4GB and might get an 8GB memory stick. I really don't think anything can top that mostly because the PSP also plays video games on it, like, GTA games that no other portable media player does. Anything to compete with the PSP?

Grab a used iPod Video generation 5.5 on eBay and load Rockbox on it.  Most PMPs are just music players; some, like Creative's Zen series and the Archos '04 & '05 lines are good for music and video (I love my Archos 504).  None of them will play video games, though there are a few time wasters included with Rockbox in the form of plugins.
