  1. Slovak food can vary from region to region

    Common slovak foods are

goulash- thinner than the Czech version, more like a soup, a bonus if it has wild game in it

pirohi- ravioli like dumplings, but more starchy, filled with cheese or mashed potatoe and cheese topped with bron butterm bacon, chives, etc.

halusky (pronounced halushky)- small flour dumplings that are boiled, a little like Italian gnocchi

Sausages- more types than you can name

Smoked meats- Pork being the most common

Cabbage, cooked or in salad like slaw

Kapustnica- an awesome cabbage soup, some people add mushrooms and potatoe,  this one is my favorite, because mother in law makes it a little spicey

  2. Saurkraut pirogies and kalbasa sausage

  3. I think and I love potato dumplings with sheep cheese and bacon, and the sausage from the first answer is called polish sausage in states.
