I am driving from PA into New York City. Is there a train that takes me in from NJ? I figure it will be easier to park that way since there is no parking at Penn Station.

  1. My friend, from PA, drive to Trenton, NJ and take NJ Transit's Northeast Corridor Line from Trenton to New York Penn Station. Make sure you take the express train, not the local.

Once in New York, transfer to the New York City subway. Take the uptown (northbound) "A" train (Blue Line Express) from 34th Street - Penn Station to 145th Street.

At 145th Street, walk downstairs and transfer to either the "B" or "D" trains (Orange Line). Take either Bronx-boound (northbound) train from 145th Street to 161st Street-River Avenue/Yankee Stadium.

The fare on the subway is $2 each way. The fare on the NEC from Trenton to New York City is $21.50 for a one way round trip ticket.

I hope this information is very helpful.

Good luck and enjoy the game.

  2. EDITED -

If you can get to NY Penn Station via train, do that. From Penn Station, take the "E" train to the 57th Street and 7th Avenue stop. From there, transfer to the "D" train that'll take you right to the Yankee Stadium stop (161st Street) in the Bronx.

If you can take a bus to the NY Port Authority, do that. From 42nd Street, hop on the "Shuttle" train that will take you to the East Side of 42nd Street (Grand Central Terminal). From there, hop on the "4" train and take that to the Yankee Stadium stop (161st Street) in the Bronx.

    I hope I helped!

  3. The Trenton Train Station in New Jersey has trains that will take you into Penn Station.  After that, it's a short walk to the 42nd street subway stop.  Get there and then take the D train to 161 Street (Yankee Stadium).
