  1. I compete in figure comps & for me to produce the muscle required; I have between 200gms and 250gms per day. At present I weigh 60kilos & 170cm tall with 10%body fat.

  2. Aim for at least one gram of protein per pound of body weight per day to gain muscle.  If you weigh 150 lbs, that's 150g of protein per day.  You're best off getting your protein from "real" food sources, but many bodybuilders use whey protein for pre-and-post workout nutrition.  Champion Nutrition Pure Whey and Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey Gold Standard are the two most popular brands, and they're better than many others because they're low in fat and deliver at least 24g of protein per scoop.

  3. Most experienced trainers or bodybuilders will recommend you try to get at least 1 gram of Protein per kilo of your own bodyweight.  So if you weigh 70kgs, you want to get around 70grams of protien.   I usually like to get around 2 grams per kilo of my bodyweight, to ensure I am getting a more than adequate amount of protien.

It's not too hard to do, especially if you are getting egg whites, chicken, tuna, fish, nuts, low-fat milk, etc  into your daily consumption.  If ur taking protien shakes, it's even easier.

Try to get your protien into you within 1-2hrs following a workout, so it's used more effectively.

Some people say that you can only digest a certain amount of protien in one meal, but don't concern yourself with that, I never did, and I made great gains through a higer protien intake at each meal.

Train hard, eat big, and get huge..!!  :)
