Question:

What's the best and cheapest way to 'move/access' my wall mounted tv inputs?

I have 32" HD tv with all the various inputs and want to wall mount it. The thing is that the tv is going in a communal room in an accommodation block and would like to be able to easily plug and unplug various items such as games consoles and dvd players without the hassle of taking the tv off the wall to access the inputs on the back. I know in lecture theatre-type set-ups it's possible to get wall mounted socket inputs for projectors and such and was thinking about something like that but can't find it anywhere. Does anyone know where to find something like this or something else that could be suitable?

  1. You can purchase an extension, which would be a box with all your inputs that hangs down and then you can put more inputs in to it.  There are also special mounts like the one i posted that puts the tv on an arm.  The tv will come out and move forward backward left and right.  The tv will come out enough that you will be able to stand behind the tv and easily plug something into it.
