  2. Ok yo listen up Norton is rubbish dotn ever use it . nevber rusn smoothly , very hard on your ram, does not protect or detect

now mcafee is exellent it have a protection of about 3 firewill its secruity center is stong and can protect alot it is number 6 in top 10 it also have some good tune up center on it with remove lots of gb of your hard disk you dont need did it on like 6 of my diffrent friends pc belive me but the thing is mcafee is very slow it laggs your computer unless you have a high spec computer with  3.0 ghz and 2gb ram or 2.6ghz and 1gb of ram

  3. i have norton who have been brilliant but.got a trojan and they had to put me in touch with symantec to get shut of a trojan high risk virus.but a free one such as spybot s&d may of got shut of it??anyway the symantyec effort cost £70.00. was i ripped off who do you believe....

  4. They are owned by the same company, Symantic. Choose one that works best for you if one is not provided by your ISP.

  5. AVG is it scans your computer and deletes all the virus on your computer but it can be a bit annoying some times because it come up all the time you load up your computer and norton is better than macfee.

    hope this helped you

  6. Try a free one such as Avast or AVG

  8. Norton has so many issues - I've had it for free on 2 different PC's and uninstalled it because it was causing me so many problems. I couldn't even switch my PC off one time.

    Loads of free ones:

AVG is good, or AntiVir, or some people say SuperAntispyware.

I also use spybot s&d for nasty little trojans and spyware.

Google for them and make sure you get the free versions. Some sites try to take you to a trial version which costs money.

  9. Try AGV  its free

  10. I've been using Norton quite a while now, and I'd say that it's not because of Norton that your computer doesn't run smoothly. Mine runs fine. I've used both Norton and McAfee. I'm more impressed by far with Norton, as it will warn you not to mess with certain e-mails, that some are known phishing sites. Also won't let you reattach pics that come with a forward if they have viruses in them. Get someone to look at your PC, and see what the real problem is.

  11. everyone on here will tell you there one is the best even if the world knows it's not...

i use avast 4.8 pro myself

but there are many other good ones out there norton and Mc afee is not among them,

    try them out first,

by downloading the free trials and you will find one that works well for you...

many people i know use zone alarm internet security suite that looks quite good,

i know zone alarms firewall is probably the best in the world..

  12. they both stink to be honest, avira antivir, which is free, is better than both by far

  13. I think Norton is slowing your PC!! its a very big program and can really slow down PCs with low system specs, and I  personally and many knowledgeable users don't have good things to say about either of those program as this article explains as well as detailing the  most popular Anti Virus programs.

I think you will find this to be the best answer chosen 8 times!!:)

  14. Best free ones = Grisoft AVG or AntiVir, both available for download online.

Awesome commercial ones = Kaspersky Anti-virus or better still the all in one package.

I don't think most people would argue otherwise.
