You might want to think about getting him a Nintendo 64 or Gameboy SP. They have good games that he will like. Both of these can be found on ebay for just surfing the web for one. I wouldn't expect to pay more then 30-40dollars if that for either one.

Tonka trucks.  Little boys like playing with cars.  children play and learn laptop.  they generally run about 20 bucks and you can sometimes get them at the  local drugstore or at walmart.  They are  educational and fun.  That video game where you plug into the tv directly and they interact to answer.  One of those toy puppies that move.  Best pet a kid could have.  Never poops eats or bites the company.
