What's the best choice for a cheap used car?

I'm in need of buying a small, cheap, used car that doesn't spend that much gas.

What should I look for?

By cheap, I mean nothing over 5,000 bucks.

try for an 2002 saturn.. most saturns will run for a long time.. even with problems.. mine gets about 200 miles to a tank of gas.... Or get a dodge neon...

There are a couple of cheap cars you can get like a Honda, Toyota or Nissan. They are all reliable and good gas savers. You can get a good, cheap one at a car auction for way less than $5,000.
