  1. My husband is military and he has went to several oriental ports. They tend to use a lot of red and black, and dark blue. They also tend to have a lott of floral/foliage designs in there rooms as well. Hope this helps.

  2. What color is your furniture? If red, keep red to a minimum on the walls. Of course, gold would be an obvious choice as well, but I would like to add jade green as a possibility. Look at some Oriental art work and you will see a beautiful green in there. Try adding this to be unique. Good Luck - LT

  3. Red, white or black. I would not want to go all dark so I would try an accent wall of either red or black But if you have something say a chair or a quilt that had a chinese print and another color you could use the other color. For instance you could use the taupe if you had the first quilt. And you could also mix that up with a red accent wall

  4. dark red with gold outlines and some white back ground.

  5. Red, Yellow, White, and Green.

These are good-luck colors in Chinese.

Search on Yahoo on which to paint what color on which wall.

Add a piece of furniture that matches each of the wall.

For example: If you paint the west side, lets say green (not saying that the west side of the room is really green), then you should put green furniture against the green side of the room, in shorter terms, the west side.

    Have fun painting your room!

  6. Chinese Red

I don't have a Chinese theme, but my Livingroom, Diningroom, and Foyer are Behr "Chinese Dragon" Red. It really makes a statement when you enter.8/6

  7. White, red, and gold! =D

  8. Red,white, black,or gold. Those are the first 4 colors that came to my mind.

  9. Red is the first color that comes to mind--it is a classic Chinese color combo with black and gold...

  10. As everyone else has said, a red color is always nice!

I would recommend only painting one wall in the room. Red is such an intense color that too much of it would be an overload. Paint the wall that you want to be the focal. Make the other walls a golden wheat color and consider painting the ceiling too so it isn't stark white!
