I am trying to learn how to pitch because I plan to try out for my baseball team and join a summer league anyways. What is the best (obviously opinion wise, but also a good mix that confuses batters) combination of pitches to learn for my arsenal? I already learned beginner's curveball and wil use that, and I will eventually upgrade to a curveball, but what other two or three pitches would be best to add to that one?

  1. It depends on the hitter and it can depend on the dynamic between the hitter and the pitcher. If you go the same way pitching every time, at some point the hitter will hit your ball to the moon.

  2. Gyroball   lol.

  3. fastball, curveball and then finish him off with a sweeping slider

  4. Fastball,Change up,and Curveball.

  5. Fastball-changeup is the best combo, but a two seamer is the money pitch.  If you can locate a 4 seamer a 2 seamer with good sinking movement, and any off speed pitch such as a change up, curve ball or a slider, you will get high school batters out consistently.

Yes your 4 seamer 2 seamer and curve would make a good combo if you can locate all three.
