What's the best computer software to learn to play guitar?

Alright I'm interested in learning to play the guitar. I have never before picked up an electric guitar and played it. and I have no idea about all the guitar terminology-except chords.

What would be the best computer software to learn how to play? I would prefer if your recomendations were from your personal experiences :)

Any other ways I can learn to play besides lessons?

my past experiences have proved that learning for someone rather than a computer is a lot more helpful and beneficial. a computer can tell you what to do, but can't critique you in what you are doing wrong. the computer can't understand you as well as a real human, someone who has learned to play the guitar and knows what you are going through and how to help.
