  1. One of the top two student credit cards are: Capital One Standard Platinum For Student and Discover Student Card. Both cards have low interest, no annual and can help you establish credit while in school. http://bestcreditcardratings.com/student...

  2. it also depends on what u need...

    for example...

    if you need a:

low interest credit cards = Blue from American Express

balance transfer credit cards = Bank of America Cash Rewards

                                                Platinum - Mastercard

rewards credit cards - Discover = MoreSM Card

STUDENT CREDIT CARD = Discover credit card-Clear

  3. American express.  It kinda forces you to be responsible because the bill is due in full at the end of every month or billing cycle.

  4. You can get a credit card, you just have to be responsible... That's the thing that gets the best of us when we're at that age- being responsible... I dug myself into some credit card debt when I was a student, and like the other guy, I wished I had never messed with them. Then again, I had friends that had numerous credit cards but managed them responsibly.

With that said, there is no BEST credit card, because it all depends on what's suited for you..

Try that link right there to compare some student credit cards. I should also mention that bankrate.com is an excellent site for info/advice on stuff like this.

YOU DO NEED CREDIT. Don't believe the people that tell you "dont get a credit card." They are usually the ones that think credit cards are the devil because of what they did to themselves... You are in control of your debt, not the credit card companies.

No credit is better than bad credit, but good credit is better than no credit. Wouldn't you like to buy a house some day? Or get an apartment on your own? Or buy a car on your own? You wont be able to do any of that if you don't have credit. (Unless you have a reserve of hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash)

  5. I would suggest you check out the following site that has a good list of student cards listed. I got one from there that was from citi cards and its working great so far. It helps if you have some income to show on the application.

  6. none...mess with credit cards, and you'll find yourself in a world of hurt, and your credit rating destroyed.

  7. If you use credit cards responsibly they can be an incredible help as for "the best card" only you can decide that for your self so i recommend http://jbx6.NewCreditApplications.com because it compares 100+ credit cards Side-by-side from all the top credit companies making it easier to find the card that fits your needs. And it also offers and compares student, pre-paid, and business credit cards.

    I hope this helps :-)
