Question:

What's the best diet for a 14 year old who weights 141 pounds?

I have searched the entire Internet but I haven't found any site which could advise me in recommending the diet that suits me best. My data is: height - 5'4" weight 141 lb. Everywhere I search I only find answers for girls of my age that are like 100 pounds or even lower.

Could you recommend a good diet or at least some sites that would help me make my own personal diet? Because as far as I've searched, all those kind of sites haven't allowed me to register because I am under 18.

Thanks and I am looking forward to receiving your answers.

  1. First of all you should not diet at all. Talk to your parents to see if they can help, maybe they can take you to a nutritionist or help you to make healthier choices. Take an honest look at what you eat in a day. Anything that is junk food is a no-no, pop and juice as well they are loaded with sugar. Try to stay away from processed foods, (anything that comes in a box or package) go whole wheat with breads and cereals.

If something says it's low fat always check the label for sugar content, it's usually higher to replace the flavour of the lost fat.

Eat lots of fresh fruits and veggies, salads,( don't worry about dressings just don't drown your salad in it 1-2 tbsp is lots) and try to exercise more, walking is great, riding a bicycle is good exercise as well. There is no special secret to losing weight, just eat right and exercise.

  2. idk what websites you were looking at but you should weigh 120. 100 is WAY too low. You weigh a bit much, but really your weight now is ok

  3. Well, you're only 14 years old, so easy does it. Chances are you may still grow in height as well, so really you need only lose perhaps 10-15 pounds, depending on how heavy your bone and muscle structures are.

Fast diets don't work. They lower your metabolism and burn as much lean mass as fat. This is why people end up fatter than they were when they started. You have to do it slow and steady. I would recommend a low-glucose diet. It eliminates cravings, makes you nice and full, and is great for your body because it's packed with unprocessed nutrients.

  4. www.sparkteens.com

  5. First, drink plenty of water (at least 8 gasses per day) as this will fill you up and reduce the amount of food (calories) you eat.

Second, have six small meals per day. This will mantain a faster metabolic rate than if you have 3 meals per day; thus, you will burn more calories so less will be stored as fat.

Third, snack with fruits and vegetables instead of processed, high sugar foods. This will fill you up so you will not eat as many calories

Fourth, avoid simple carbohydrates; (High G.I. food) such as, potato, white bread, lollies, soda drinks, and more.

Fifth have no more than 70 grams of fat per day (as little unsaturated and trans fats as possible). Eat nuts, fish, and peanut butter (good source of omega 3) to obtain your fat.

Fifth, eat a lot of fiber. This is undigestible (cellulose) plant material that helps with the movement of food in your intestines. But it will also help fill you so you eat less per day

Finally, exercise regulary. Especially on days when you consume more than your recommended, daily calorie intake. Find an enjoyable way to exercise.

If you follow this you will lose weight. To check if the food is low in sugar and high in fiber etc, check the nutrition label of food.

  7. im 5'8, 140 with some muscle and girls tend to weigh less so i would reccomend a diet. i heard alli works pretty good. it comes with diet pills to stop cravings, and a booklet that tells you what to eat. along with that just run a little bit every day and you will be looking great in no time.

  8. Become Vegan.  It's better for you, the environment, and the animals.  Do some research :)  I'd also go on The Plate, a website, apparently it is really easy to use and they have a really supportive and helping "community".  Good Luck!
