What's the best digital camera I can buy?

Question

I want a really up to date camera and would also like one that records a good standard of video too. I'd like it to be over 8MP and if you could tell me some of the better features of the camera too that would be great. I'm not bothered what colour it is but if it comes in pink then even better =]

kodak great pics zoom and great viedo comes in pink blue green silver orange purple it is awesome i have the silver one

From experience, and as a person who used to sell digital cameras, I prefer Canon Digital Elphs.  They are durable, user friendly and take very nice pictures.  They are also not terribly expensive.  I've owned 2, had the first one for about 5 years before it started to have some issues, so I sold it on eBay and bought a new one.  :)

nikon cool pics is a pretty good camera if you want a small one. and it comes in colors.

I have a Canon Powershot A560 and I love it! The quality of the pictures are great. Its 7.1 megapixels, 4X optical zoom, and has a 2.5 LCD screen. It takes really good videos with great sound. It also has 16X digital zoom. It also Face Detection technology which is very handy.

i have a kodak easy share and i love it only 100 bucks takes vids and u can send ur picks from the camra to the comp and stuff i love it

Canon PowerShot SD1100. It's cheap (around $200), available in multiple colors (including pink), has 8 MPs which is sufficient without being too much (high MP in consumer cameras translate to worse image quality when shooting indoor or under low light), has very nice lens with image stabilizer, good video capability (cannot zoom while recording, however... only when it's stopped), and very fast operation.

I JUST GOT A CANNON SDH1000 AND I SWEAR BY IT, ALL OF MY PICTURES COME OUT AWESOME. PLUS THEY COME IN 4 DIFFERENT COLORS
