What's the best effective way to clean your stove top?

Something that will get the job done and will make it pretty easy

I use barkeepers friend on mine. It is a gas stove, so don't use it if yours is a glass top. If I have a tough spot that is baked on, I pour a little water, and bar keepers friend on it, let it soak a couple minutes and it comes right up. Also, my mom always used some amway product after she cleaned her stove, that made clean up so easy, it was like a wax, but I can't recall what it is right now.

I like to use oven cleaner. I spray it on, wait a few minutes then wipe off (about 3 minutes, but don't go to long as it will take off the paint) . The gunk comes right off. I have used it on all sorts of things in the kitchen.
