I use the satin-epil by Philips that is advertised at the moment.  It's the best one I've used.  I used to use the Phillips one with a ice pack that you stick on the back of the epilator.  That was OK and the ice did help.  Many years ago I had one with little "fingers" that was meant to massage the skin but that was rubbish.

If you've not epilated before it will hurt even if you are used to wax.  I've got used to it and now use it like a razor and don't bother with ice after etc. It feels like being twanged with an elastic band.  A little uncomfortable at times but no longer painful.

I found the best way to do it the first time was to shave as normal and then a few days later epilate.  It will pick up some hair but won't be too painful.  Then a few days after that epilate again.  Then a few days after that eipliate again.  By this time you'll have got rid of all your hair and it won't hurt as much as just going for it straight off!  I tend to epilate once a week/fortnightly as I find it quicker and easier.

The ones with ice do help the first few times but then again maybe just having a ice pack would do the same.  I'd look for ones with variable speeds and maybe different sized heads for different parts of your body.  I'd look for ones with lots of tweezers because that makes them more efficient.

Sometimes they do offers where you can have your money back if you don't like them.  That might be worth doing if you've never epilated before as some people really do find it really painful.  Like I said though do perserve.

none to be honest they ALL hurt like h**l.

waxing is much quicker, smoother and lasts longer
