With all the New Orleans traffic coming through the roads are a bit crowded. I was wondering if someone could recommend the best route to take.

I hope that Helped, I'm not from down there, nor I have never been there.

If you want more different routes and map out.

    just use: www.mapquest.com

    or yahoo maps.

    Be Safe.

  2. I'd recommend pulling out a map and locating the state highways that parallel the interstates, or other state highway routes. All interstates in the area are completely clogged right now, especially since the Contra-flow out of New Orleans has been implemented. Hope you have relatives in Jackson you can stay with. The hotels there have been booked for days.

  3. Take the route with the least amount of traffic.  The interstates will be jammed.

And forget what someone cut and pasted from mapquest.  Mapquest is usually wrong with basic directions, never mind the crowded conditions you're going to encounter.

Whatever you do, leave as early as possible.  Good luck and God be with you.
