  1. Ah, but there were so many! So many rich, wonderful tastes, how can I compare them? Wild trout freshly caught (not by me, lol) and grilled over campfire, that was a delicious experience. But was it really better than the sauna-smoked leg of lamb, cut in very thin slices and served with a simple green salad? Or the chateubriand of a moose my father shot, expertly prepared by my mother? That really was tender! Oh, and the oven-baked mountain grouse, with creamy sauce and cranberry jelly, I still dream about that sometimes. Or, oh, yes, another favourite, the first mackerel in early summer, fried in butter - no oil or margarine with my mackerel, please, lol - and served with a generous sprinkling of chopped chives from the garden, the new potatoes of the season, and a cucumber salad with french vinaigrette and lots of chopped parsley, oh my, that's Summer! If there are strawberries and cream for dessert, I should not complain about that, either, lol.

I think I'll stop here. You wanted one "best ever", and I wrote a book, lol. I LOVE cooking, and I LOVE eating! Sorry, I'm just a food maniac!

  2. I went to a japanese place for my birthday and we sat at the teppenyaki table and watched him cook our meals.

I loved the garlic steak and the very, very thin kobe beef.

    It was goregous.

  3. I LOVE thai food, my favorite dish is Pad Kee Mao. Its a noodle dish with veggies, basil and diff sauces, its very spicy and adding some extra soy sause is the best!!! Some rice on the side is amazing too :)

  4. I think food is about the whole experience surrounding a meal. Mine was some amazing tapas I has in Barcelona. Sounds simple and it was. Sitting in the sun, watching the world go by, drinking beer and eating the freshest, tastiest and largest selection of hot and cold tapas I have ever had. It was gorgeous!

  5. well there is an arabic (yemeni) traditional food which is known as "mandy" is the best ever food i've eaten in my life

trust me just try it once and you'll never be sorry about it..

good luck and enjoy your "mandy"....

  6. I like a myriad of dishes

Sushi is high on my list

I love middle eastern dishes, spanish, french, the list continues

  7. This is a revelation: I had the best wonton ever in Adelaide, South Australia in a fusion restaurant... gotta go watch hendrix with rolling stones byeeeeeeeeeeeee..........

  8. In my opinion, it's Thai. I have visited several restaurants that serve it, and always judge them by the quality of their Pad Thai (pod-tie).

I often get a good reaction from the staff because I order it extra hot. It took some time to work up to that heat level, but there's nothing better than a perfect serving of it - moist, hot, and plenty of chicken and crushed peanuts.

  9. Braised sun dried abalone with oyster sauce

Cantonese style steamed fish (freshly killed!) served with soy sauce + hot peanut oil + green onion (chives)

  10. Shrimp and steak fajitas fresh off the grill with home made salsa and guacamole, and some spanish rice. LOVE IT!

Oh, and the bang bang chicken and shrimp at the Cheescake factory was very good
