Maggiores in Covent Garden is very, very pretty, although I'm not sure if it's the "best" French restaurant in London

Just outside of London The Glass House in Kew is excellent (fairly pricy) but well worth it's Michelin Star.  Also The Brula Bistrot in St Margarets near Twickenham, West London is very good and Fay Maschler from the Evening Standard rates it.  Although I preferred the food in The Glass House!
