What's the best hair dye for getting out red color?

My hair was dyed red a while ago, and i did a temporary golden brown over it, and a toner, so now it's mostly golden brown, but it still looks red to some people. I want to dye it permanently and just get that red out but I don't want it to end up too dark. What should I do?

as dark as you can handle and tell your stylist to TONE the c**p out of your hair haha

or it will never fade

Red color is the most difficult to tone down. If I were you, I'd embrace the red! I have a golden brown color with a tint of red and it's pretty!

But if you really want it gone, find a hair dye with the word "cool." This will tone down any red tones in your hair.
