Question:

What's the best health drink?

I've tried various health/fruit juice drinks but most if not all - contain artificial sweeteners such as saccharin, aspartame and/or sucralose (aka splenda). What drink, other than water, is good for you and does not contain these ingredients? Is there such a kind?

  1. water is the healthiest drink and milk comes next.it contains calcium, protien and vitamin D which is really important for bone, cells and teeth forming

  2. water and tea are two of my favorites.

  3. what i would recommend is water....water is pure and also 100% juices such as cranberry and Hawaiian punch

  4. gatorade and water

  5. Gingerale, Seven-Up, and Gatorade.

  6. Water, as you've already mentioned, is hands down the best for you. It flushes out the toxins in your body all the way down to cell-level. Essentially, not hydrating enough with water is like not taking out your garbage for months and letting it stack up in the kitchen and get sour and rancid and stinky. Water is required for your cells to function, your intestinal tract to push food through. Well the list goes on how necessary it is.

Either the regular grocers or the health food store for a bit more money- you can find sugar free (and that includes fake sugar) juices. Just have to look for them, they are out there - I know because I buy them regularly. The tetra packs or the jars or frozen concentrate- one should read labels anyway.

The other choice, and cheaper one, is to make your own fruit/veg juices in a juicer. Or use a blender and make smoothies with fresh fruit and yogurt/milk.

On top of this of course you can add wheat germ, flax oil/seeds, 'green' food, lots of options.

Then there is green tea, and there are herbal teas, but one should always look at the side effects of everything, even herbs/natural foods- for instance, licorice tea is yummy and is  has great benefits to the body including immune and intestinal function among many others, but is not a good idea  for people with high blood pressure, stroke/heart disease history, diabetes and glaucoma. Just research everything properly (i.e. reputable source- not some commission or high pressure sales person who is determined to convince you their product is the be all end all you will ever need).
