I am 27 and have no major health problems, but because all the jobs I have been getting lately are temporary gigs, none of my employers offer health insurance.

You need to find an insurance agent and decide what you need from a medical insurance and how much you can afford to pay for it.

well since you don't get sick often u may not need/want  to pay the high premiums for heatlh ins., however, there is a program that offers a medical savings benefit that will allow u to save on any eye, dentist, medical, etc... visits.  my grandparents use it as a supplement to their medicaid. check www.5linx.net/lab under products for more info. The best idea is to visit a local independant agent. They will be able to fit your medical and financial needs and wants to a plan that works for you. Since you are healthy, ask about a high deductible HSA plan. That way you are covered for major issues and can take advantage of the tax breaks an HSA offers.
