  1. i use avg and zone alarm, they  are both free down loads

    regards x kitti x

ps dump internet explorer and use mozilla firefox, also free d/load and get yahoo pop up blocker and anti spy  also free.

  2. Google offer a free internet security program and a free spyware program and they are both very good.

  3. I use Nod 32 and have just recently upgraded to their Smart Security which has Antivirus, Antispyware, Antispam and Firewall. That package cost just under £40 for a year, Nod 32 which is just Antivirus was about £25 so both of them are good value compared to the big boys.

The package does not slow your computer down and updates arrive at anytime so you don't have a day where it downloads masses of updates which means you can do nothing on the computer until its finished (like Norton)

They can be found at www.eset.co.uk

  4. use avg free from grisoft, turn on the windows firewall and download spybot ans adaware by lavasoft. just run the last two veery week of two and leave avg and firewall on permantly.

i have done this for years and never had any problems. and it doesn't slow yor pc down like norton does.

  5. I AM USING BIT-DEFENDER TOTAL SECURITY 2008.IT SEEMS TO BE DOING A FINE JOB.IT HAS ALL THE BELLS AND WHISTLES AND USES LOW RESOURCES.YOU CAN GET THE FULL PACKAGE 30 DAY TRIAL DOWNLOAD AT BITDEFENDER.COM

  6. Trend Micro Internet Security. I've used it for over eight years and have never been invaded once by anything.

You don't need any other program as it does it all. Adware, Malware, Trojans, Spyware, Viruses, Phishing, email, web mail, content, pop ups and fire wall. Protection for all your personal information. Runs in real time and auto updates every three hours.

Just renewed it for £68 for the next two years. I'm quite picky what I use and this has always been the best money I have ever spent!

  7. Try this one,

    won't let you down

  8. Just Dumped McAfee & Gone with Kaspersky it's cheaper...better...is lighter on your system...Hourley updates automatically...Toped the suppliers of security in a survey.

Get Kaspersky 7 & you get a free upgrade to Kaspersky 2009

  9. Well go with the rest and get problems. I have no problem with Norton on line get all the up dates free. I don't get Trojans or virus. I don't find it aggressive in marketing at all   Cost £69.00

  10. I use AVG free and PCtools Spyware Doctor also free.  If you take away IE7 internet access you will not need anything more.

  11. Frankly I don't bother with any kind of security on my PC.  If there's a problem [rare] I simply crash it back to it's original factory condition with it's built in pgm.

Cyberspace is full of spooks trying to sell the idea that we're all under attack from monster PC viruses which are gonna take over the Planet.  Well, we're not and they're not.

  12. I will go with Kitti on this one. Both free, both good.Would also recommend installing superantispyware, free as well.
