There are a lot of things to consider, perhaps you should go to a real local surf shop ( not one that sells bathing suits and t - shirts ) that actually sells some very nice surfboards.  You coulld inquire as to the right size of board needed for your size, the types of waves you like to ride and last but not least, your skill level.  While most true surf shops that sells boards may have a lot of great stuff on the racks you may want to consider having your board custom made.  Last I remember, it takes approximately six to eight weeks, depending on the type, size, and your personal design for your board.  Hope this helps.  =P

Well, who is this great fellow?  And if he was so great, why can't he get his own board?  There are all kinds of boards, in different shapes, sizes, and designs.  I guess that depends how big you are and what you ride... boards are as individual as the guys who ride them....
