  1. One that when you sit on it. Both feet sit flat on the ground.

  2. There are many out there the two that I have seen a lot of shorter ladies by are KYmco Venox and Hyosung GV250.  They are good machines with a warranty that is honored and not china  junk. Have 2 year a warranty's and easy to learn on Sport bikes are not the best to learn on. And on  you have to remember a lot of  people have their first bike for two weeks and are instant experts, You get what you like and what feels good to you. Also take a MSF course for you own safety

  3. do to a harley davidson outlet! you'll definitly be able to find a motercycle that fits your needs and hieght!

  4. Depends on how short is short.

Try sitting on a Kawasaki Vulcan 500.  Then try sitting on a Honda Rebel 250.

  5. Cruiser style motorcycle have VERY low seat height (about 25 inches).  The street / racer types START at 30 inches (most are about 31 to 32 inches height (not counting of for the width of the seat).

The exception is the BUELL BLAST (500cc) that also has 25 inch seat height.

I used to own 3 bikes.  The last one was Kawasaki Vulcan 500 LTD.  It was low to the ground, easy to ride and yet enough power for experienced rider and hwy cruising.

    Good Luck...

  6. For sure a cruiser. Don't let a salesman talk you into a bike thinking you will later lower it. It either fits when you sit on it or is doesn't. Both feet need to be flat on the ground. ( exception dirt bike) I recommend a Honda Rebel or a Yamaha Virago 250cc to start. Another good bike is a Honda VLX 600 Shadow or a Yamaha 650 (shaft drive) Star. You can move around after this. If you have a few months experience you ought to be able to move right to a 600 - 650 cruiser. Buy a helmet and gloves. Good luck.

  7. Cruiser style.

Japanese manufacturers make the smallest and lightest cruisers.

Go to some dealerships and sit on the bikes to see what fits.

Would you buy a pair of shoes without first trying them on?

  8. Any kind,  find the kind you like,  Im sure you can ride any bike you want.  Dont sweat it.  I know females that ride big ole Ultra Glides and others that ride Hayabusas and everything inbetween.  but for sure ride several kinds cause they can be VERY different so find one you like and dont be suprised if its a inline 4 cylinder japanese bike.  They are great all round bikes

  9. H-D Sportster 883, or 1200 with the lowering kit

    any 600cc sportbike should work

    NOT an 'adventure' bike
