  1. i like the boston, bibb or butter lettuces since they are large, strong and pliable.  they fold well without breaking

  2. Iceburg is the best in my mind, you can't beat the crunch I believe.

  3. I love Romaine, it's strong, has nutritional value and will not fall apart if you cut it into large, wide strips and the great thing about romaine is, if you just buy the hearts, it's already that way to begin with!  Happy Wrap Eating!

  4. cabbage

    bib

  5. I use iceberg lettuce usually. I love lettuce wraps.

  6. I would have to say Boston lettuce cup

  7. Iceberg are what I use, they retain their crunch, and a very clean lettuce, (I loathe having to spend lots of time cleaning lettuce).

  8. Most cookbooks say to use Boston or Bibb lettuce for wraps, but it can be kind of pricey and sometimes hard to find. Iceberg is an acceptable substitute. I would not use Romaine because the "spine" (for lack of a better term for the stem that goes down each leaf) can split very easily. Splits and you wear your food.

  9. butter or bibb, IMO

  10. Romain is what I would go with.
