Or, in this business, location is not as important as marketing?

  1. Is to be for inner city kids as well? Then a building that is in the city. If it is to be just a neighborhood for well to do kids, then in that local. It would be good if you included kids that are not all well to do. Have a balance of kids. It would benefit poorer kids as well. You could get sponsors in the city to help give these kids paid in part or even free.

  2. The absolute choicest location for a private school in a big city would be near (preferably on the same block as) the cities main government buildings.  After this any upscale neighborhood (the financial quarter might work) without too, too a residential feel to it should work.  Remember, the private school types expect a certain atmosphere for their money.  Make the schools location feel at once cosmopolitan, worldly, and safe.  Oh, and make sure your not too too far from either your clients place of work or their homes...unless of course you're thinking of going boarding in which case it doesn't really matter does it.
