  1. poke in the eye followed by a quick 400 yard dash...that should get you far enough to avoid any contact...

remember Daniel san the best defense is avoid all danger

  2. probably boxing or kickboxing you want to keep them away from you keep distance between you and you definately don't wanna go to the ground with someonwe who has a knife

  3. krav maga- i think this is the name, saw it on tv: saying that its very simple everyone can do it, and based on

military self-defense, and right now it is adapted for self-defense for civilians . it doesn't require agi/strength just follow movements they say.

its also has some moves against firearms(but only if they are close enough (hostage style))

  4. Krav Maga. The martial art of Israel. Check it out.

  5. One that practices a lot of grappling....and practical approaches to dangerous situations.  Doesn't Kung fu have stuff like that?

  6. KRAV MAGA!!! Translating into close combat from Hebrew, KRAV MAGA, created by Imi Litchenfeld, was specifically designed to defend against this stuff. IsraeliS rock!!

  7. Krav maga is the best i can think of off the top of my head

hands down it deals with those situations

Silat has some knife work where your opponent is armed and you were disarmed

the moves of Eskrima (Kali) with a stick can reverse over to being with a knife

with a knife, generally anything to keep your attacker far back from striking you or anything damaging (ie. kicks do not work they slice the artery in your thigh and you bleed out faster then you would your neck)

grappling work, in my dojo we have actually grappled with a knife to emphasize the footwork and core work in flipping someone off you since your hands have to hold onto the knife to keep yourself from being stabbed
