  1. I remember on my vacation to London we ate at a famous pub and we ordered a lobster appetizer. It was so amazing! The lobster just melted in my mouth...it was perfect. :)

  2. There was a little diner in Monterrey, CA that specialized in breakfast -- I wish I could remember the name. The line was out the door, but we were still able to get inside in a reasonable amount of time.

Breakfast was relatively inexpensive, and everything was way fresh! Homemade banana nut muffin and fresh squeezed orange juice, fresh coffee, seafood omelet with monterrey jack cheese, fresh hashbrowns (not frozen -- they were grating the potatoes right before cooking them). The service was great, too -- friendly and with a smile. And frankly, that makes a big difference to the rest of the meal, regardless of how good the food is.

Only one bad thing about my meal -- my companion! But I'd go back there in a heartbeat (and I'm not usually a big breakfast person, so you know it was good)

    I'm hungry now!

  3. Chicago deep dish pizza in Chicago. Can't beat it.

  4. I was invited over to a friend's house (a college roommate that I had not seen for over 10 years and I happened to be in the city he lived in) for a good old backyard BBQ.  The atmosphere of having a good meal with friends and good conversation was fantastic....

  5. somewhere in china, the seconditme i went, we were about 2 hoursaway from guangzhou, and we stopped for lunch at a neat restaurant, and we ordered for 6 adults, and 2 children, 4courses plus desert, and drinks. there was wonderful fired and boiled rolls, a whole chicken, the best rice in the world, and it was ALL $11.50 u.s. dollars
