I don't sleep very well anymore and I'd rather try something natural than a prescribed sleeping tablet.

Is there anything that works please?

Been using lavender for months on linen, candles bath oils etc.

Also having a bath and reading dosent work for me either.

Thanks.

  1. Foods rich in Tryptophan will help induce natural sleep and aid in reducing anxiety and tension.

Avoid caffeine for a few hours before bedtime too.

foods rich in Tryptophan are ~ bananas, cottage cheese, milk, meat, fish, turkey, bananas, dried dates, peanuts and all protein rich foods ............. turkey sandwiches for supper may just do the trick buddy......... :0)

Have a soothing cup of organic loose leaf chamomile tea ~ this could be the sleep remedy you need too♥

The tea bag and commercial varieties of herbal teas such as chamomile tea could never be of any therapeutic value as they have had so much of the essential oils pulverised from them .......... only organic will do buddy ♥

Are you using organic pure essential lavender oil ??  The commercial varieties really have no therapeutic value and organic really is the only choice.

Don't use the lavender oil if you are pregnant or breast feeding ♥

For more difficult insomnia, try 1mg of melatonin sublingually (dissolved under the tongue) 15 minutes before bedtime♥any good health food store will be able to provide you with all these things♥

Naturally resolving the problem will always be the best way .... :0)

hope this helps you a bit ♥

    cheers

    ♥

  2. Valerian root.  Get 530 mg, it WILL work for you.

I have been taking Valerian for years but not for sleep rather to take off stress. It works wonders both ways.

Try it, you will be pleased.

You can buy it in GNC type store, or online can be cheaper.

But again make sure it's 530 mg. in one cap and not less.

  3. Sometimes white noise works...a fan, or a white noise machine.  There are sleep machines that have several choices of naturally relaxing sounds available on line.

I keep a fan running and it puts me right out.

  4. I'm sorry to hear that your not sleeping well.

I use essential Lavender oil and warm milk when I can't sleep.

I rub in the essential Lavender oil on my chest and drink my warm milk 30 mins before I go to bed.  This works for me.

    Good Luck Kiddo!

  5. For me it's having a really warm bath, spraying nice perfum on my pillow, having no lights on in my room (thats including lights off the tv or having your mobile switched on) and strangely.. having really clean teeth.

  6. Chamomile and warm milk

  7. Shut off the breakers to the bedroom when it's bedtime and get a battery powered alarm clock if necessary.  Electric fields mess up a lot of people big time, much more than they know.

Try looking up your location on http://antennasearch.com/

If you live next door to a cellphone tower, move!

  8. I like Valerian.

    I take 2-3 capsules a night when I can't sleep.

Sometimes it can take 4-7 days of taking it every night to really kick in.

Valerian Root has been used as a sleep aid for over 1,000 years. Its ability to help relax the central nervous system, promote feelings of calm, decrease levels of anxiety and stress, and enhance sleep are known to millions the world over.
