What's the best overall shallow subwoofer to buy?

I'm trying to help my nephew put a system in his truck, but I have no clue about shallow subwoofers. I don't know how they hit or of like the 5 top brands that make them, which is the best. I bought him a Kenwood Excelon X791 cd player and I'm going to give him my Kenwood Excelon X10D mono amp.

He's looking at three or four different ones, but which is the best quality? If he goes with the Kenwood Excelon sub, everything will be Excelon. He's going to have two put in.

He's looked at the Rockford Fosgate P3, Kicker CVT, Pioneer TS, and the Sony Xplod shallows.

Watch out for the excelon cd players it takes time for the cd to be read after awhile make sure there is a warranty. but back to your question kenwood is ok sub brand i mean i love the amps they have but i would go with the rockford fosgate sub. if he has the money tell him to get the new jl audio shallow subs they are top of the brand and hit just like a regular sub. dont get sony please dont get that they will break and blow early. kicker is a good brand but i havent heard to much about there shalllow subs but the pioneer i would also stay away from. so i would either go with rockford but if he has money jl audio.

They are not out yet, but they will be shortly, the Stereo Integrity MAG is a shallow mount woofer that is worth taking a little look at.
