I'm looking for 450-500 watt power supply for my pc, I'm running an amd athlon x2 2.6 dual with an asus atx motherboard, gforce 8600 video card.

also should i go with more wattage than that 450?

I burnt up my 350 watt that came with my tower playing call of duty 4! I don't do any over clocking but i do put a significant load on my unit while im gaming.

I'm on a budget so I really dont want to spend for than 40 or 50 dollars, and if i can get away with spending 30 I will. If i have to replace it in a few years so be it, at the moment i just dont have the cash to put anymore money into this machine.

So my question is, what is the best low budget power supply on the market?

  1. try these:

  2. Maybe get this (Rosewill RP500-2):

    based on this review:

(though, who knows if Rosewill changed suppliers since that review was written)

    Or this (Antec Basiq 500w)

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...

    based on this review:

(though, the fan may be a bit loud according to some folks)

Also, maybe see if you can get a good deal on one of the Antec Earthwatts supplies --- sometimes they are pretty cheap.
