I'm heading out of the country in about a month and wondering where the best place is to get the vaccinations I need? I have looked up the country information on the CDC's website, but I'm not sure if I can just go to my GP and get everything covered, or if there's another place I have to go...........?

  1. Your GP will do all the regular vaccinations.  For any really esoteric ones, he may need some advance notice.

  2. It depends on where you are now, but in my experience your GP will not do those vaccinations.  Most likely you will need to go to a travel clinic, and they will know exactly what you need for where you are going.  You should go to the clinic two or three months before your intended travel date.  If you don't know where to find such a clinic, your GP will know that for sure.
