I am looking to buy my next cue. I've had the same cue now for 7 years. It's a custom cue made by Adrian Viguera, a cuemaker out of Chicago. I absolutely love the cue, but when i bought it I had just enough for him to make me the absolute bare cue w/out any points or anything like that. It's absolutely gorgeous though. But now i am looking for a cue made by Joss or maybe Schon. I was thinking about having a Predator shaft also. I am looking to spend about $500 to $750. Joss makes a "color of money" cue replica and this kinda suits my style. Any advice?

  1. I gotta tell you, you're just not going to find a production cue that outplays a custom cue in that price range. I'm not saying you won't like one, I'm just saying at best you'll just be getting a more elaborate looking cue that plays basically the same.

Make sure you try out a Predator shaft before you buy one. It will play completely different than your custom cue, and you may not like it.

  2. SCHON  CUE

  3. Ive been playing with the same Meucci cue for about 15 years ,i havent even had to get a new shaft.to me its the best there is..good luck

  4. You could also look into Jacoby Cues.  They are out of Wisconsin, and make some beautiful cues.  They have a couple lines or you can have a complete custom.  Not sure if you ever seen Jeanette Lee's cue, its made by Jacoby.  I shoot them and wouldn't shoot with anything else.  But Joss and Schon make pretty nice cues too.  And as far as the Predator shaft... Its all in your mind.  I'm not saying its not a quality shaft, but you can get the same hit, feel, and deflection rate with a well made non predator shaft.  I have talked to lots of people, and Jacoby makes predator shafts and even they say there is nothing special about them.  But if you think it will make a difference it just may.  Good luck and keep rackin em up!!

  5. i have an adrian viguera  custom cue for sale if you want it??

  6. MCR x500a   I won $855,940 so far with that one cue.  Granted, it took me 14 months, but still.  I recommend it!

  7. Joss or Meucci I like the hit with a Meucci a little better but dont shoot with either one

Bout the same with the shaft I have 2 but dont shoot with them they shoot to good a lot.

A Schon and the shaft 750 aint gonna get it .

  8. Are you staying with the same weight cue, and the same ballance point?

  9. you dont need an expensive cue...Ask the master of masters in pool, Efren Reyes. He only use a $20 cue made in the philippines.

You posses the skill my friend and the cue does the rest.

  10. To tell you the truth I would not trade My JOSS for the world, it took me to the APA nationals in Vegas in 2006 and thats good enough for me .
