  1. When I buy gifts for people out of state or, in your case, out of the country, I like to buy snack and food items that are made in my home state. It gives them a taste of my hometown.

For example: I live in Washington. So, I often send family boxes containing: Seattles Best Coffee, local coho salmon, Delitante Chocolates, etc (all of which are made in Washington). It always goes over very well. Now, if I forget to send something that I included the year before, boy do I hear about it!

    Good luck! :)

  2. Maybe something that 'exist' in your country but not in UK? Actually, the present is not the matter, the thing that matters is the friendship between you and him/her ;)

  3. A safe bet would be a Terry Pratchett book, though that could backfire if they already have it.  DVDs are good if you know how to get around the region lock.

  4. probably something from here in america like for a girl a journal and for a boy a shirt or something .
