  1. Cotes du Rhone, cheap. light.

  2. I prefer French wines because they are dryer than most American wines and the ones from Cotes-du-Rhone often have a nice lavendar undertaste.

    At the grocery store I can find Parallel 44, or a Beaujolais, or a two year old Louis Jadot for $10-$12 . I love these and buy them regularly. Parallel 44 is my favorite of these.

  3. Red Rooster 21 of course sweetie.Kickin chicken that is!!!

  4. Toasted Head Cabernet Sauvignon

  5. Boone's Farm Strawberry Hill when I was 13, oh so many decades ago.  Just kidding.  The best red wine I've ever tasted was a 70 Cote de Beaune Villages.  Don't know the price, it was from a private collection. Tannins were gone, the acidity was muted, all that was left was the silkiest, smoothest liquid that simply caressed and flowed as I drank it.  God, I'm a wine nerd!  But to your question of a not that expensive, best red wine I've had would be a 02 Sheridan Syrah from Yakima Valley, I think my bottle cost about 50 bucks.  It was so intense, the wine poured black.  He must of kept the juice on the skins for 3 months, or something, because it was huge.  It filled my mouth and lingered for minutes.  It had these crazy spice and chocolaty notes to it.  But there was this sense of balance.  Big wine, strong tannins but not super agressive like some of California wines.  Anyway,  that's my not too expenisve but best red call out.

  6. I LOVE FULL-BODIED WINES. WHICH ARE CABS OR ZIN. OF COURSE IT DEPENDS ON YOUR PREFERENCE. THERES ONE CALLED OLD VINE ZIN AND ANOTHER IS CALLED CAMPUS OAKS. THERE SO GOOD AND HAVE A GREAT BITE TO THEM. ASK THE LIQUOR STORE TOO! THEY SHOULD KNOW.

  7. Most Merlot's are good and inexpensive.

  8. Charles Shaw merlot for me

  9. I love my red wine and have been enjoying for over 35yrs.

    Two of my favorite everyday drinking wines are two of the most inexpensive I have found;

    I have answered with these two many times, because I believe for the money you can not beat them.

    1. Carpenito's "Dogajolo"

    2, Monte Antico red

    Both are Italian Super Tuscans and both sell for about $10

  10. Yellow Tail! Inexpensive and has a good taste to it

  11. My mother is expanding our wine inventory in our liquor store, but I have had and drank the Arbor Mist BlackBerry Merlot. Very lovely. I suggest strongly.

  12. I actually love YellowTail wines - they have yummy Shiraz/Merlot/Cabernet and also blends of two flavors - they make great affordable wines - also Kendel Jackson makes a great shiraz as well....

  13. The best I ever had in that category was a dolcetto, but when I went back with a plan to buy whatever they had left, it was all gone, and the next vintage from that house was nothing special. I still like dolcettos and barberas, though, and if you're getting something from Italy's Piedmont, they're a heck of a lot cheaper than Barolos.
