  1. padis point!

  2. Loads.  Try the tapas bars, pizzas, piella and stuff.  I don't have a specific fav.  I went to Madrid 4 2 whole days once!  There's always a BK or McDonalds at most metro stations or nearby them.  Try McDonalds Atocha.

  3. Madrid has a ton of great restaurants.  I just came back and I think my favorite was La Barraca near the Chueca (g*y) district.  I think it was off Reina and we had the best paella. It wasn't salty and they put a ton of seafood and meats, and not very pricey!

  4. As a cosmopolitan city, you can find any type of food and restaurants in Madrid.

Many people thinks the best restaurant in Madrid is Zalacaín, in Gregorio Marañón square but it´s quite expensive (from 70 to 100 Euros).

One good neighbourhood in wich you can find several good restaurants all together is Malasaña. There, just go walking and you will find  the best italian, chinese, argentinian, and vasque food in the city.

  5. My advice is Hotel Ritz. That's where David Beckham takes her wife! I know it's not very original, but that'd be a chance to dress up and the menu is international enough to find something both your partner and you will fancy having.

Casa Lucio is also very famous and a must for celebrities visiting Spain, so perhaps worth a try is you really wanna go for Spanish dishes.
