  1. We reallly liked Chinatown at  42 New City Road Glasgow G4 9JT Phone 0141-353 0037. I can see why it got the high reviews.

  2. Indian, Chinese, Italian, Scottish?

Imho, the Dhakin and the Dhabba in Candleriggs are the best 2 Indians.

The Cathay Cuisine in Rouken Glen Park, for Chinese.

Not sure about Italian, they're all much of a muchness.

    The Ubiquitous Chip for Scottish.

  3. my pick would be statzone on the great western road

  4. One Devonshire Gardens hotel restaurant.

  5. I have come across a brilliant wee place in Govanhill. Basically its a take-away with a sit in bit, but it is well worth a try. Called Yadgar, its a pakistani food place......I like my curries and stuff and I have never had food out of that genre of cuisine that is served so fresh. Excellent Pakora...excellent Curries.....even the rice is great....oh and nice nans.   An indication of how good it is really, to me, is that it is mainly frequented by people of Pakistani etc origin.....Give it a go...you wont be disappointed.

  6. depends what its for,  for a wee bit of typical glasgow try the horse shoe bar it will open your eyes

  7. if you fancy a nice drive just outside glasgow, then go to the WILDINGS restuarant on harbour road, heading towards the ayrshire coast.   absolutely devine.   if not try anywhere in city centre

  8. Definitely, without a doubt, One Devonshire Gardens.  It's very expensive but for a very special occasion, well worth it!  Let us know what you think if you do visit it....
